That is a sweet looking ride! How does the 3racing chassis handle? What's the build quality like? I'm thinking of getting a ta05r and sticking that chassis on it.

FAO anyone who's purchased a ta05r from rc-champ; how much did you pay for it? I e-mailed them a couple of days ago but they haven't got back to me. Do rc-champ stock 3racing products?

17250Yen for a TA05-R

Shipping would probably be about USD40-45.

Yes, you pay through paypal. RC-Champ's popularity has exploded over the last year or so. Its taking them a bit longer to get back to people than it used to.(it used to be less than a day).

If its been more than a few days, email them again. The prices and insanely fast shipping are worth it without a doubt!

Cheers guys. I can't believe it's that cheap. Do they just sell Tamiyas products or do they stock a wide range? I'm particularly interested in some of the 3racing hop-ups.

I emailed them 4 times last week and got a response each time within 24 hours (they are 14 hours ahead of us in Central time US).

They sell most brands...Tamiya, Kyosho, HPI, Tech racing, Yokomo, etc.

I think they stopped carrying the 3Racing stuff because, as I was told, they have pretty poor quality.

some of the 3Racing stuff is poor quality, other stuff is real good, I got the chassis conversion and suspension mounts, they are ace, I did have the steering, but that was useless.

Cheers, I'm not in a rush. They may even be shut due to bank holiday weekend (do they celebrate that in Japan?!?) I know most shops here are shut (UK)

I only want the 3racing chassis (the ssg one) simply because it looks awesome. I can probably get it pretty cheap from Hong Kong but was hoping not to pay two lots of shipping.

Stupid question: does the ta05r come with a decal set? if so, is it the cool one like the msx ones?

They are closed every Monday...not sure of their holidays

If you want the best conversion (which I think is not needed) check out the KAWADA conversion. It's bar none the best quality. It may not be as flashy as the SSG 3Racing one...but the fit and finish of KAWADA's stuff is up their with Xray and Corally.

That looks quite nice, though obviously not as pretty as the ssg one. I love the look of the silver chassis'. How much is the Kawada one?

I believe it's about $140. And the carbon fiber they use is also top quality. I was never very impressed with SSG after I had my first Yokomo SD.

Assuming Rubber Tires then a 30T pinion should get you around a 1in rollout which is a good starting point.
