I have to say that for all the hype that the TRF shocks receive, I haven't been all that impressed. After our short outdoor season(about 6 races), mine were filled with dirty oil.

They are smooth, but definitely not THE smoothest I have ever felt. To tell the truth, if I could make an even trade for a set of JRX-S shocks and find a way to mount those up on my TA05, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Those shocks were easier to build, easier to equalize, and came out clean after a full outdoor season(about 12 races) and a partial indoor season without ever being rebuilt.

Great question! Does anyone have an answer? I emailed Tamiya about this very issue and they told me to buy the 49310 TRF blue damper collars... not what I was looking for. Anyone have a few they are willing to part with? thx

on the shock thing, I've got a set of 6 year old HPI Super Shocks from my old RS4 Sport (that i sold forever ago) I'm running on my TA05. only real reason I used those is because I REALLY didn't feel like building another set of shocks

haven't raced the car, just screwin off in the street, but i've had the same 35wt oil in those shocks since day one, and they still haven't leaked, and the oil still looks halfway decent (a bit grimey, but nowhere near as bad as my Savage's shocks get after a month, LOL)

What amounts of camber are we talking ?

1.5 DEG ? 2? 3 ?

on the standard BATHTUB i use the blue stabilizer ( front )
on the carbon ( 3racing ) version you dont need that.

On the 3Racing chassis, it still pitches and rolls, problem with over roll-barring the chassis, is it loses its grip.

It is intended to raise your suspension block to raise your roll center.
it goes between the suspension block and the chassis plate. Byr suspension block I mean the 1E, 1D, 1C, 1B, 1A, 1X, 1XA, 1XB, 1XC, 1XD, A, B, C, D, OR E suspension mounts

Hey guys, I got a set of 1 season old TRF blue shocks that i'm looking to part with if anybody is looking for some to add to their car. I figured I'd mention it here first before posting it normally.

One of the caps has a small scratch on it, I tried to show it in the pic (lower right shock cap), but its hard to notice.

Anyways...$50 shipped(firm) to the continental U.S. Thats $15 cheaper than the not as good looking grey units, and more than that cheaper than the Special edition blue shocks.(which is the only way now that you can go blue)

PM, email are both good ways to catch me....first person who can pay gets them.
