Jaybee, I think what he saw was the 6mm wheel hex on the front, and the 5mm wheel hex on the rear

Talking Spring pressures.

where did you get the spring guide for the tamiya ones?
I'm sure AE springs will work with the right set-up but if there are handling issues using these springs then going back to Tamiya springs could be and option!

An engineer friend took the time to measure spring pressure on all the Tamiya springs! It was posted way way back on this thread I believe.
So the numbers should be accurate.

He also happens to be a past TCS champion!

Hi everyome:

I have some Q's about he 3 Racing Shocks. I just got another TA-05 and it has these shocks on it. they feel very good but has any one run them on carpet????? how do they compare to the Flurine (sp??) shocks????. as of now they are on a Xenon chassis. with a few hopups. I'm planing on making this my Brushless mod car. (a little more space to mount everything).

Thanks

I just swapped my TRF shocks for a set from a 415 MSX. I like the way they look better except for the plastic bottom part. Good trade?

Hi,

Thanks, I have a couple of set of TRF shocks somewhere in my basement. they were used on different cars in the past. I'll dig those up and run those instead. I have been running the short springs on one of my other cars so that should'nt be problem. I'll just use the 3Racing shocks on a project car. I two complete sets of them and two complete sets of Shuie springs as well. (off the old Shuie sedans).
had my TA-05 running well today on carpet/foams. just a slight mid corner push on the faster sweepers. nothing to bad.
I didn't get a chance to work on my other TA-05 as I was working on my 415 carpet setup.....(good so far. but it would help if I would remmember to bring my shock spring box with me to the track

Default Good night of racing last night

Well I didn't finish my main but I was doing very good. I moved my pinion up from the 22 to a 24. Nice flowing track with my new 4300 batts. Took 1st in the C qualifier, 1st again in the second which put me 4th in the B. I has 2nd place in the B until I screwed up. Was running in 4th then I hit the track and knocked my motor wire off. Man I was doing good.
