You can probably add:

#53725 Tamiya EVO IV Carbon Body Mount Stay (as mentioned above)
#53837 Motor Heat Sink for Transverse Motors
#53849 TA05 High Precision Diff - at least one for the front diff if you're going 19T/mod carpet.

I don't think I'd get the aluminum steering, though.. the stock one is pretty solid as it is.. I've noticed quite a few parts are the same material as the chassis, the fibre-reinforced polyamide.

And, it includes 2-degree rear uprights. Not reinforced like the set you can buy, but still not bad at all.

Noticed also that the aluminum transponder stay doubles as a servo mount for one side. You'd still need an aluminum bit for the other side of the servo, although it's reinforced material as well, you may not need to.

And man, easy access to the diffs is an understatement! Pop 4 screws, two shock links and two ball cups, and you're set to go. I just had to do some shimming to keep the diffs centered, .3mm each side.
Went through a few 5mm's to shim the axles as well. Comes with some AW grease for the axles and diff thrust too, very useful stuff.

The tires actually have a bit of traction to them too, unlike the Enzo Ferrari radials.. might be okay for stock carpet racing with the right inserts, or at least rally

Heh.. an extra 23T and shocks, eh? Got the Champ-RC Combo? I just got the stuff individually (w/Ti screws - covered every 3mm screw I ever needed, with one left over )as well as a sport tuned motor, extra aramid belt and spur (I'm very prone to retard-moments), alu hubs, and blue turnbuckle wrench (a godsend!).. you never know if something goes, you'll have to wait a bit before it shows up in stores in North America..heh..

You guys ready for another installment of TA05 build Pics ?

Okay, I mention something about the easy access of the diff earlier, here's a pic showing the 4 screws to be removed:

Voila ! the diff/shock tower removed. Note the screw holes which are keyed.

Next is a view of the front Anti-roll bar assembly.

And this is a view of the rear Anti-roll bar assembly.

In this close up view of the Rear, you can see the 2 grub screws for eliminating any play in the roll bars housing.

Finally, I remember someone asking to see how the dogs sit in the outdrives. I'm sorry I dun have a pic of the original stock parts but here's my TA05 hopup with LW reversible Arms set, 46mm CVD shafts and local mod to reinforce the stock outdrives. Currently I have the stock plastic suspension blocks as the local distributor do not have stocks of what I want.
(Sorry for the overexposure but without the flash, you wun be able to see details of the outdrives.)

Cheers ! ......until the next, next instalment of TA05 Teaser !

Being new to Tamiya Tourers, I leaning towards getting the RC-champs TA-05 racing package. Need help on what other bits I need to get the car competitive. Would 2 pairs of universal drives (not sure what part number) and the alloy suspension mounts for the rear to adjust toe be enough (not sure what part number as well) and maybe a complete spring set to match the TRF shocks.

Why is everyone suggesting the reversible suspension arms? Are the stock 05 arms no good?

What kit did you use to hopup your TA04? Was it the 415/evoIV conversion?
