I never understand, they go through all that effort only to leave them stupid plastic chassis braces in place....

I think they are only showing what they have and the rest if the car is stock. It even still has the plastic shock towers.

Cool

Dear All...

I have just finished a TCS in Asia and I really enjoyed running the 4WD GT class with the TA05, it performed awesome.

On the other issue, the car weighed approx 1600grams last weekend and really wanting to decrease the amount of fat thats on the car. The car is a fully hopped up version TA05 using all Tamiya parts and Ti screws already.

I really wanted to get the Carbon Chasis kit and some aluminium bulkheads to save some weight but doing so will eliminate me from attending the Tamiya Races.

Anybody know when or if there will be a TRF spec'd chasis / TA05 release in the near future? I don't really want to get a non-tamiya chasis conversion kit and the next morning found out the TRF released their own one.

the whole idea of a top deck is to take away places of twsit or movement, so sticking the deck on top of plastice/graphite part, screwing theough it and then into the chassis is just a complete waste of time to be honest.

1600grammes, that is heavier than mine has ever been.

Hey guys, I have a question for those that are running the TA05 with the VFS-1 esc. I've tried the cap that comes with the VFS-1 (which has been 'required' by Ko Propo), and i always run caps with my touring car, but this time it seems like the cap won't fit behind/next to my ESC any which way I put it. Does anybody have a pic with how they set up their VFS in the 05 with the stock cap?

Thanks,
Mike

I'm guessing the 416 will be it maybe.

Tamiya has stopped making the 415 already

Here's mine with the KO. I wrapped my ESC in carbon sticker sheet. Even the cap.... My switch casing is broke. I'm too lazy to order a new one from KO. Would be easier if they had it listed on their website... hehe.. So I shoe goo'd it to the chassis... Can't wait for TCS this weekend in Laurel, MD!!
