Woe to those who are taking a TB-02-chopped servo and putting into this one.. it's missing the OTHER half of that bit!

Looks like the chassis is made of better material than the TB-02.

PC is indeed Polycarbonate, and PA-GF is Glass-Fibre Reinforced Polyamide.

It generally goes from weakest to strongest, ABS (like a PVC Pipe), POM, PC, PA-GF. Of course there are differences in strengths between them all for torque, shock, stress, etc. but PA-GF is certianly higher on the list for durability and overall strength.

Should be much better against screw-stripping than the TB-02.

Also, for temperatures, PC generally has a 130C(266F) limit, and PA-GF has a 190C(374F) limit.

Didn't the TA-04 have some reinforced chassis come out later on too?

Exclamation TA05 !

It appears they spent a lot of attention to detail with this chassis, this is not a simple mold to develop! Well, it looks like they did their homework, so I guess it's up to us to prove them right! Once these hit the U.S. market,I suspect there will be in high demand.
Better get on that waiting list!

Better believe it !

I normally stay away from "Standard" Tamiya kits prefering to wait for the "Specials" like the TA04TRF and TB02R ..... But this one after seeing the chasssis and parts inside the box, had to immediately grab one !

The last time I bought a "Standard" Tamiya kit was back in 1989, ....A TA02 Toyota Supra Blitz.

Yup ! ....the first time I ran those, I got a real shock when the batteries I've placed into the tub started SPARKING across the chassis !
Those TA04 carbon Reinforced chassis required big time insulation in the battery compartment ! a battery pack placed into an uninsulated bay would short and discharged so quickly, it got really hot !

Good news, I've just check and tested the TA05 tub and they do NOT conduct electricty like the TA04 ones !
