Unhappy Discontinued?

Thrust bearing for the diff? Tamiya discontinued it? That's news to me!

The 415 and the TA04 I believe uses the same thrust bearing! If that's what your talking about!

I am headed to the TCS race in Memphis with my TA05 the end of this month. I do not normally run on a parking lot, so I would appreciate any suggestions on set-up.

Well, Tamiya changing it to a real number makes sense. Since Tamiya and everyone else seems to be out of stock, and Tower listed it as discontinued..I was a little worried!

Hey Steven... what class you running? I ran GT3, with kit setup except:

upgrades were only the TRF shocks, and cvd's

F360 Modena body
TRF Shocks, with yellow springs, i think...
used red swaybars front and rear
B3 tires, with TakeOff Medium liners...
this should get you fairly close. fairly basic, actually!

car was pretty good, really, finished 3rd last year behind Doc and Mike.

Maxepower posted a complete set-up about a page back. There's tons of tips and 'secrets' posted through out this thread but the only problem you might encounter on asphalt is needing to raise your ride height a little and eliminating understeer.

Wes, I'm running GT2 with CO27 motors built by Russ.

I remember I had to raise my ride height and soften my springs last time I ran at Memphis with my TA04.

The B3 with medium inserts sounds right unless it's really cool, then I was thinking of trying the A's.

Thanks for the set-up tips.

you might get by with the A's with a 27T early in the a.m... but the track temp will still probably be pretty warm.
