I dunno how it will perform. I just saw it and ordered it just for the hell of it... Bling Bling!

Kilruf,

Does this part come with 2 pulleys ? or just 1 ?
I think it should be 2 cause there are 2 belts, right ?

Default Must have options

Got a TA05 on the way, any recommendations for upgrade options? Looking for enhancement, rather than blinging it up.

If you are putting machine screws in all of that plastic a 3mm tap is highly recommended

Alum shocks, swaybars, front universals and double 1-ways (if you have driven with them before/if not you can be fast without them).

If your looking for enhancement and not bling, I've got the perfect answer for this question.

Start with the true essentials:

-swaybar kit
-tamiya tuned spring kit (short)
-the right tires for your track

Then drive the car first! Thats right, drive it nearly bone stock. Then see what you feel you need. For example, if you drive the car and say to yourself "man, alloy shocks will make my lap times lower", then go for them.

I think you'll find that there are very few things you need to really make this car the best you've ever driven.

you are right, because that's what i did. i run the car bone stock and from there i bought hop-ups that i really need, the trf shocks, sway bar, and front and center oneway. after that i'm happy w/ the car.

One pulley. It's just like the direct pulley for the 415. It's one long pulley that fits both belts. I'll post pictures maybe tomorrow or Monday sometime.

with all the hopups coming out for the TA05, can the TA05 be as competitive as the 415 MSX?

Like I said, I haven't seen whats so special about the 415. At least not on the local level. I have no doubt that the Tamiya team drivers could do just as well/if not better, with a nicely equiped TA05 as they do with their 415.

But considering Tamiya sells one for $130 and the other for $400 plus, I doubt there will ever be a chance to see that theory proven.

Can anyone verify if both part #53867 (1 way pulley) and the part #51212 diff pulley are the same??? They look the same in the photos I see, and no one has the diff (51212) in stock. Actually I think they are slightly different.

Does anyone know where they are in stock? Or, does someone have a spare I can buy???

Try RC-Champ

Does anyone know the weight difference in grams between the stock steel universal axles and the 53681 Titanium Axles?

Also regarding the carbon components, do you actually need to buy all 3 or just the chassis will do the job<

Anyway, ran the car for the first time yesterday and qualified 2nd and finish 1st in the final. My race weight was just 1530 grams Looks like my Cyclone will be going soon
