actually... last time i was running with Eeyan at Tamiya, i had an old YOK 'silver' 19t geared waaayy down while Eeyan was running a stocker.. we were about the same down the straight.. I felt i had a tad more punch though..

If you have the stock bearings in the TA05, you need to put a lil power through them to break/loosen them up..

don't matter to me though.. throw that GRAPH tub on and have some fun...

I love mine..

still got thos bridge blocks for me??..

This car has a LOT of steering. So over-steer is likely what your going to be dealing with while trying to set it up to your liking. Before I started messing with the car, the first thing I did was dial back some of my dual rate. I often find myself running around 72%-78% on the dual rate, depending on how tight the track is.

So maybe you could dial back your dual rate a few clicks, to see if that calms down the over-steer, before you start changing the actual set up on the car.

If that doesn't work, you could try a couple other things to take away front steering and/or add rear traction. Adding a sway bar up front, adding droop to the rear, taking away droop up front, stiffer springs up front, softer springs in the rear, are just the beginning of what can be done.

Just remember, one change at a time.

Swap your front hubs round, meaning put the C2 front hub on the left side and the C1 on the right. don't forget to re-set ride height, droop and to add 2mm spacers under the steering links ball joints on the steering rack's side.

I can GUARANTEE your car will have a lot less steering and will be a lot more consistant.

Here's my TA05, almost ready to race tonight.
It has the setup I mentioned in my previous post:

All box stock, except:
Hex screws replaced most of the stock screws (I had some blue aluminum and the rest are rcscrewz).
Shock oil is 70 front, 50 rear (1-hole pistons)
Novak GT7
BlueBird 621MG servo
Nomadio Sensor V2 transceiver (A bit big, but I don't mind it on the servo)
Purple foams rear, plaid front
Spacers for the tires so they don't rub the ballcups
Robinson super machined 104t spur with Robinson lightweight 31t pinion
Epic binary 27t stock motor
It'll have an old alpha body that I used on my TC3

The wires aren't pretty, but I usually have my cars like this - function over form for me

The suspension is more springy than I like, even with the thicker oil. We'll see how it goes.

Thats because the holes in the pistons for the plastic shocks are far bigger than the holes in the TRF pistons, so a cheap but effective upgrade would be a set of TRF white shock pistons.
