Go Here and you can figure out your roll out in mm.`s with a 100 foot straight I am running a 25.4 mm. roll out. thats a 106 x 31 in 64 pitch......
Thanks. That's a good baseline for me to start with; 25.4 mm to 100 ft. Why aim for 25.4 rollout though? The track I run is around 40m or roughly 130 ft, what rollout should I aim for? Just seems to me the motor reaches top rpm halfway through the straight.
I guess its iimpossible to gear it down to 5.8 so I can use 23 turns unless I switch to 64, 48 pitch?

Why worry about if Tamiya makes a smaller spur? Just go to standard 48 or 64pitch gears. Then you can go with whatever gearing you want.
The shop only carries tamiya and kyosho stuff and honesly tamiya spurs are just cheaper than 64,48 spurs.

I'd hate to have to order from overseas just to get that stuff. Hopefully Steve at speedtech will get it in shortly.

But he has been awfully quiet on the subject of these parts lately.

Hey CIVIC, let me know if you find out anything about that chassis being instock at Champ RC. I would go in with you to order if speedtech can't get them soon.

Default asking about option

Hi all,

I need to know where should I put this part :
53874 RC Center Pulley Bushing - TA05 High Precision

And what's the function of this part anyway ?
Does it only work with Center 1-way pulley ?

Thanks for the info.

anyone know of good shocks for the tamiya Calsonic Skyline GT-R 03 RTR that are adjustable and will mount right up to car without modifications? I need to lower the car to the ground, or so I was told. . Seems like if I run certain foams on it, then it rolls over in the turns and that is not good for winning any races. Just looking for suggestions so I can get it handling like I want it to.

it is the bushing on the main lay shaft (by the spur gear) on the stock TA05 it is black, and it comes on the diff tree. it is used on either the stock or the one way center shafts.

There's a tao5 compatibility list here with older kits parts http://tamiya.com/japan/rc/rcitem/parts_ta05.pdf
Its in japanese and my basic reading level is rusty.
I think some parts are useful.
