Default TA05 FEVER @ FREDERICK, MD TRACK

I HAVE BEEN SHAKING DOWN MY TA05 THERE THE PAST 2 WEEKS AND THE LOCALS THERE HAVE BEEN DRILLING ME EVERY TIME FOR HOP UP PARTS INFORMATION???? THESE CARBON PARTS SHOULD GET THE WEIGHT ISSUE DOWN TO THE $1,000 XRAY AND LOSI AND ASSOCIATED CARS. IT IS REALLY NEAT TO GO OUT THERE AND BE COMPETITIVE WITH A PLASTIC TUB CAR THAT COST ME $109 AND BE RIGHT THERE WITH THOSE $1,000 CAR'S !!!!!!

THE TA05 IS A REALLY "AWESOME" CAR AND SOOO MUCH EASIER TO DRIVE THAN THE F201'S OF THE PAST.

Well, to be honest, the 05 is $109 + about $250 in hop ups...but $359 for a good car isn't all that bad

Thumbs up

Migvea, MFlores, Sup: If you guys can get your hands on a set of Titanium screws, or at least replace all the top screws... you'll notice a huge difference.

If ever you guys can't get any further handling from your best stabs and spring combination, try to tighten the rear diff with little increments.. I bet you'll get the steering you'd like to have.

Rayman: are you still using the stock Tamiya spur? if so I'm not surprised by your comment that it's noisy for a belt drive... it's the gears.. Go for 64pitch.. you won't even hear it pass by you....

Only if people choose to go that route. I've slowly added hop ups to my car just for the sake of adding hop ups... But I have yet to notice a instant performance boost.

I have no doubt I could go just as fast with the stock kit as am now with my moderately hopped up car.

Shock towers
shocks
swaybars

Thats it... And as I said, it hasn't saved much weight, and it hasn't dropped huge chunks off my laptimes. For me, its just for good looks.

Also why does the lw reversible arms that I bought for my tbo2 not fit specifically the swingshaft. I thought these were 46mm but they're short and hang at the end of the outdrive. They wil popout for sure. The shop here doesn't have swingshaft for the regular arms of the o5 so I'm stuck with the dogbones. The kit is very noisy for a belt drive.
Additional 48mm Swing Shaft For Assembly Universal Shaft Set are required for lightweight suspension. You can get them from ebay here.
