Yeah I think I'll be getting one soon even if my Christmas present for myself is a 19" lcd flat panel. I'll be dead broke this december.
Getting rid of your 415 so soon? I saw it posted on rc stuff already.

Talking TA05 issues!

Well,

I'm going to try and get my 05 dialed at the Tamiya track once again. Been trying several combos. It was a lot better with the stock set-up, then I changed to the lightweight arms and lost the set-up. Way too free in the back end in and out of the corners more out than in but I think I have it figured out. We shall see tomorrow. Any TAOB guys going tomorrow?
ANYBODY......ANYBODY...............ANYBODY........ ............?

Hi Guys,

Just want to post a quick note that Xenon Racing has released the aluminum upper bulkhead pieces for the TA05, and we should be receiving that in about 1 week or so

The rest has consideration for what type of track you race on. Indoor carpet, u would want to stay with your std suspension, outdoor asphalt, go with LWS.

Not sure if its tcs legal to cut two small slots in the chassis so u can use tape instead of the battery strap?
thanks for the suggestions!

anyone else? suggestions for the most cost effective way to reduce weight on the TA05??

quick questions with suspension blocks. need to know if this combo will work using the ff: with a swing shaft of 46mm.
rear--0 or 2 degree hub
B(front)+B(rear)

front
1x(front)+1XD rear

B - B in the rear will give you 0 inboard toe in. if you have 0 deg rear hubs, then 0 deg rear toe. and -2 deg rear hubs, will give you -2 deg rear toe in.

front. X-XD will give you 2.5deg of inboard TOE OUT for the front.

I thought that for the rear hub---B+B with a 2 degree hub will give you a +2 toe so if its -2 i'm on the right track, but will the rear set of wheels be wider than the front wheels? will this be OK or will it affect the cars handling?
also will the evoIV susp. mount work with the 415/TA05's?

Ran a few packs through the stock built TA05 handled spectacular, poped in a 19turn ran a few more packs through.. I am loving this car... Ordered and installed swaybar kit medium in front, and soft in rear, ran car on same course(parking lot) now rear end seems to hop a bit when I brake, before cornering. Anyone know which way I should go with this? Could the soft rear bar actually make this much difference? or is it the medium on the front causing a transfer of traction????

Default sway bars

I haven't started building my TA-05 as all hop-op parts is not complete yet. But as I was looking at the arms, there seem to be no provisions for me to install the sway bars. Am I right or I'm missing something??

my Mercs bodied TA05's manual didn't mention anything about the suspension blocks either, but i downloaded a copy of the F430's kit manual from the Tamiya website, there's a small section inside this manual which explains the various suspension block settings.

if you buy the stabilizer set for TA05, you'll get the necessary pieces to install the swaybars.
