I have seen suspension blocks for the Evo3, Evo4, 415, and 415 world champ editions. 2 questions:

    1) Will all of them fit on the TA05?

    2) What are the Stock plastic pieces equivalent to(ie. A,B,D...)?

    Thanks for any Info.
  • I have the full Evo 4 MS suspension on my TA05 including the blue suspension mounts. No problem at all fitting them. I think the standard car has 3 degrees which is using the D at the rear.

yes all will fit..but TRF 415 suspension blocks must put 1mm spacer below the blocks..the stock plastic pieces equivalent to (A)...
  • I ordered a bunch of screws from Fastners-Express. They work awesome
  • Quote: hey key500 can i ask u where u got ur blue screws? i want them but i cant find them.
They're from GS Racing but Tamiya do make some but I figure who can tell
the difference from the GS ones and Tamiya ones...
  • quick question; on the trf shocks which pistons make the dampening the softest? are there only 2-3 hole pistons? Please correct me if wrong.

    thanks
  • Quote: I'd stick to the GS Racing or Fastener-express screws. I think Fastener- express has packs of 100 blue screws for 16 bux.
Hey, did ours make it in yet? Or not till next week.

You get that G6 painted up yet?
  • Quote: Geetoo... need hookup! I'll be visiting you guys soon... woo hoo!

  • Thanks for the replies on suspension blocks...I read the article in the R/C Driver magazine and yes they will fit onto the TA05.

Anyone else with any Carpet Ozite setups w/ rubber or foam tires and monster stock motors?

Most of us are heading indoors for the Season, either at Hobby World(Gilroy, CA) or to Stockton RC Raceway.
  • Battery
Have anyone had any problems with the battery shortening against the aluminum in the middle by the spur gear...

  • Nope, and what would it short out against, there is nothing conductive there is there.
  • I seem to have fixed my steering issues but as usual, as one problem is eliminated, another arises- My TA05 has the maddest grinding sound when I put finger to throttle. I've checked both front and rear pulleys, spur gear pully, diffs, most bearings and I've even opened the motor but haven't been able to find any stones or anything unusual for that matter! I have no idea why the car is making such a noise! (I'll even be replacing the SliGhTLy damaged spur to try rectify the issue tomorrow but I can almost guarantee this will not help!)

Please tell me someone in this forum has had a similar issue and is able to help!

If you have the LW arms fitted it's probably the bearings the the hubs. They go bad quite easily if you crash. It's furstrating but you'll have to check ALL the bearings.
