The 1/8th GTP2E in the link I posted has gear diffs and shaft drive, there are no belts or ball diffs like you have in 1/10th cars.
I race this car with 2050kv motor on 4s & 5s.
With a 46t spur and 22t pinion and the 2200kv CC setup on 5s it should do 70mph all day long.
The car comes almost ready to run with almost no assembly on your part.
If you get this car run it right out of the box, I did not do that but had to change it back to stock every time I change anything on it.
The first year I raced this car I did not break any parts, the next year I broke an upper front arm, last year I broke a rear hub so I change to this PB rear setup,

That change really help keep the back of the car hooked up so thats all you should do if and when you feel you need/want to.

http://www.brucknerhobbies.com/SweepTires.htm
This is the tires I use in 45 shore on cool tracks and 50 shore for hot tracks.
The stock tires are very hard to put together they are not belted.
They work OK to get you going but will not last very long.
