Sorry john, don't know.
I'll wait for my informant (colin) to get back... hehe

What you say about Juho does make it impressive... no denying that.
Even more so if you look back at the pictures of Masami and co's pitting area!
From what I recall, Marc is similar... he does a put it on the track and drive thing... and still goes super fast

Later
Ed

Yes, young Marc is brilliant too, but at least he now has full Tamiya backing, unlike Juho. Of course he deserves any amount of backing they can give for he has already won them a World Championship, and he is only Juho's age - 17.

I can't understand why AE took no interest in this race. Juho's result certainly shows that the bad press the TC4 has been given in some quarters is not justified. Certainly in UK it is getting results, as it is here in Malta.

Yes, and he was quickest then, with Kevin B next.

I got a mail from Craig D and he told me all about it. He also told me he was happy with the set up he had found for the TC4 and was optimistic. Craig has been having a fairly lean time recently.

Well about american the sad thing is is that there should be more drivers from america int hese events, there are talented drivers but not many seem to attend the events. Asia is nearly always well represented in races

OK Iīm back from the race. I left right after the 3rd A-Main Mastersclass so didnīt attend the pricegiving. But you can see the results from the livepage.

I will post a racereport from today and some informations now. If you have any questions on the race or certain cars/drivers just ask, I will post the informations as possible.

Race is over now but as you find only results on the livepage I will add some informations on the last round of qualifying also. This was held this morning and some drivers found a better setup than yesterday. Yesterday only 3 drivers were able for 23 laps but in the last round not only Marc, Hara and Levanen were very quick but also Jilles Grosskamp and Adachi made the 23 laps also now. Marc really was on fire and improved fastest laptime to 13.1 seconds. This was really incredible as nobody else was able for anything below 13.3 sec.
So Marc finished in 23 laps 5.08,8 with Hara 2.1 seconds and Levanen 3.6 seconds behind. Adachi finished 4.1 and Jilles 4.2 sec behind Marc. Masami missed the 23 laps by 0.4 seconds and Davidīs car broke.

After a drivers presentation the 1st A-Main started. Levanen was really fast and tried passing Hara on the 2nd or 3rd lap. But his attempt was a bit overoptimistic and he crashed into Hara. So Hara was on last place and Levanen some places back also. Marc just drove until the finishline as nobody was able following him and so did win the first leg in front of Masami and Levanen.

In the 2nd A-Main Hara and Levanen put a big pressure on Marc and he had a small mistake and hit a dot. This caused a steeringlink to break and he had to retire. Juho was really fast again and won this leg in front of Hara and Jilles Grosskamp. Surikarn crashed into an other car and got a stop and go penality. Masami also broke but I donīt know the reason.

So for the last A-Main 3 drivers had the chance for winning. Right after the start it was obvisious Marcīs car was understeering and he had to slow down a little in the infield so Hara and Levanen were closing up on Marc. But they werenīt able passing him without an unfair attack. In the battle for position Hara crashed into Levanen and as he didnīt want an advantage from this situation he waited on Levanen. But Levanenīs car was damaged and Hara wanted to go on in the race but then he wasnīt able as his car also was damaged. So Marc drove to the end and winning this leg again and the Masters overall. Masami was closing up a little on Marc but was not fast enough passing him. Jilles Grosskamp did an phantastic pass on Masami and finished on 2nd position with Masami on 3rd.

During the finals Marcīs car maybe wasnīt the fastest one but he drove as consistent as ever. Especially in the last A-Main you could easily see his car or I think his tires werenīt perfect but he still was able for leading the field. Some other drivers were a little faster but did make more mistakes and this is what was deciding in such a field of highclass drivers.

I have a lot of pictures again but I need to sort them out and resize for posting. This will be tomorrow after work.
After a quick meal I will have some more informations.

Regarding the Losi cars.
All drivers removed the Spektrum system today. Maybe they thought the Spektrum could cause a problem here but I havenīt heard anything on this so donīt know.
The only JRXS what was really good was the one from Hupo Hönigl from Austria. He qualified on 13th position and also finished as 13th. what is a really very good result in my opinion. Brian Kinwald was next as 41th and Todd Hodge really had a bad race, I think he just finished in the last round of qualifying and broke every round before and in the final.

Erlend
I saw Teemu Leinoīs car and I think I have picture from his car. But I think his car wasnīt very special but Iīm not a Schumacher specialist. But he didnīt have a special drivetrain.

Johnbull
I think youīre not right Juho Levanen is a privateer. I think most top drivers arenīt factory employees but as they have a lot of factory support they arenīt privateers anymore. I donīt say itīs impossible at some big races to do a great result but I think at an event like the LRP Masters an A-Main result is impossible without factory motors and batteries. And yes AEīs motorman (just canīt remember his name currently) was at the race. Also current European Champion and AE driver Jonas Kaerup was racing.
Beside this how much factory supported drivers are really factory employees? I donīt know of the US drivers but others are Masami, Adachi, Hara, Maezumi. Marc is working for his father and guys like David Spashett, Steen Graversen or Jonas Kaerup arenīt factory employees either.

Regarding bodies Masami and Adachi really used Excel Stratus 2. But this is the same as Ride MK III. The difference seems to be the wing. Iīm not sure but from what one of the Yokomo guys said Adachi was running the stock Excel wing. I will post pictures later on this wing. Maybe someone can confirm this. Masami used a Goraku wing. It seems very much people used the Ride MK III today but not with the supplied wing. Juho also used a MK III but this time with a Mazda 6 wing.

Pictures to come tomorrow.

Thanks for all the info.

After seeing the reports for this race I may have to make a trip to Vegas to run Rubber tire mod and 19t. As long as there are others running that class.
