Default opening a Futaba 3PK

I want to open up my Futaba 3PK (why? that's another question). I managed to find all the screws (also behind the handle) but get stuck. I cannot get the display seperated from the 2 sides the form the rest of the transmitter.

does anybody have technical info how to open a 3PK?

Thnx,
Santosh

for the screen, there is a screw or two underneath the or rather along the antenna housing tube.

but is mightily difficult to actually remove the screen, you can just loosen it and let ir dangle. Important advice: BECAREFUL. Once, i knocked a micro capacitor off the PCB. Serious attention required.

Hey Santosh,
I want to buy a Futaba 3pk black.
Is it synthesized?
I have read that black version has a synthesized module.
Do you need another receiver?
How it works?

There are also some tabs (two on each side) that hold the screen in place. All you can do really is "work" it off once you've removed all the screws you mentioned.

Just be careful.

I had to open mine up once because the brand new attena I bought striped when I tighted it down. Now it can rotate, but I can't unscrew it to take it off. Once I got the radio open though, and saw how tight stuff was in there, I decided to just leave it.

So I hope whatever your trying to get to is worth the risk!
