Default Noval 1s booster or rx lipo pack and other options?

I am going to be getting into pan car racing and the rules at the local track use 1s lipo backs. The problem is all the ESC i own including Tekin rs say minimum 2s lipo.i can add Novaks 5477 1s lipo booster .Does any one else make a similar 1s booster or should i go with a small lipo rx pack?If i go with the lipo pack what size and company should i use?

Thanks

TQ makes a very nice booster that works and lasts well. The oval crowd will usually go with receiver packs. Seems like manufacturers are getting away from Lipo packs and going with the LiFe receiver packs. SMC has a nice one, 220 mah and it's under $20. Usually get 3 runs and then re-charge to be safe. If you don't want to worry about charging or don't have a charger capable of doing LiFe batteries, the booster is the way to go. It's all personal preference.

The Novak booster is a good unit. I got one for use with my Tekin on my WGT Car. The TQ unit is also good. Whatever you get make sure it had a 6V output. 1/12 and WGT cars are quick and should have the fastest servo you can get as far as voltage and servo speed.

I've just bought an RCDynamics booster.

They aren't made 'en mass' from what I gather but are supposed to be more reliable than almost anything else.
Elliot Harper used one in the IFMAR 1/12 worlds A Final

booster over battery. I run a tekin RS and yes you can run it on 1s without issue provided you have booster. Luckily a local guy makes boosters that are awesome (looks similiar to the tq booster above)!
