Default bearing oil.

Is anyone using a non rc distributed lubricant, with the same results as something like spin lube. I doubt there are many, if any oil/fluids made specifically for our market.

I.e "green slime" = sf3 grease

Ae ball diff lube = thick dielectric grease/paste

Thanks.

Not RC related either way, but when I used to competitively speed skate I used sewing machine oil for my bearings (ABEC 7) and it worked great. Came with a needle tip for easy dispensing.

Believe it or not, I have always used Marvel Mystery Oil in my bearings. Always works great and it is thin enough that it doesn't slow anything down.

I have also read that a light weight synthetic automotive oil works well for bearings. A 1 quart / liter container will go a long way!

This, and mix it 50/50 with Marvel Mystery, and it's pretty nice. Old school, but works very well.

MMO, Turbine oil use for motor bushing and bearings. ATF(AutoTrans Fluid) also a good lubricant more of detergent lube. Oil been used periodic cuz it will attract dirt. Grease repells dirt, lubricates and cools down.

Any low viscosity automotive oil will work fine. I'm currently using some Joe Gibbs synthetic racing oil. Once this runs out I'll be switching to Redline. I'm using whatever my buddy who runs NHRA comp eliminator is running in the engines at the time.

Rocket Fuel - is the brand name. Its sold for competition distance casting with fishing reels.
You have to blast out the existing oil/grease in the bearing and then add a drop of rocket fuel - its insane the difference. The spool on my reel will spin for two minutes with out stopping, before the rocket fuel lubricant I'd say it would spin 15 or 20 seconds - Needless to say I've been using this on my rc bearings.
Small bottle lasts forever. I think I got it at Cabelas or Bass Pro.

An oil called "inox" is the best I've ever used. Been using it on low load high speed bearings for almost 20 years. Wash bearings clean with shellite solvent, and one drop of inox.

As newer oils came out I'd try them, but would either get the same result or not as good.
So kept using the original.
Cheers

I checked out thier website - they have three kinds now. When I got it there was only one choice.(my old bottle graphics look different) I believe its the equivalent of the yellow, they have a red now now that is even thinner. I'd try either one. I gonna grab a bottle of the red next. I also see they have a thicker oil and a grease too.
