Tires - F1
Hello,
I'm new to R/C racing. I have a 3racing FGX F-1 car. My question is regarding tires. Is there a matrix available on this forum or perhaps on another site that would show mfg/tire compound and on which surface the work best? Thanks.

F1 RC Car Tires, Model Number and Price Comparison
For asphalt, my opinion from fastest to slowest on asphalt
Pit Shimizu 565 rear and 561 front.
Tamiya F201 Type A front and Rear
HPI Soft Front, Medium Rear
Pardux
The Shimizu and Tamiya have soft sidewalls. I usually make my own inserts to better support sidewalls and have air gap between insert and rim for more traction.

You can also give the Ride R1's a whirl... (Although not sure if there they are a valuable on an FGX wheel yet). Require a different setup to Shimizu 57/572 combo, but lots of rear bite... I'm now faster with them than TE Shimizu, and the setup still isn't there yet. Wear is good too.
