This really is a new car and needs its own thread.

I just pre-ordered mine from Stormer Hobbies. AE says the kits are being packed and should ship in ~2 weeks.

I am very very tempted to switch from my CRC to this but will wait till after xmas to make my mind up.

I will be running the car at the Timezone Grand Prix this weekend. I will post some info and pics next week.

Do you know if the big guns (Keven, Rick, Juho) will be running it at the Snowbirds?

I would hope they would... They need to run this kit at all the major races!! Hopefully this kit refires the class...

I will change my statement to ... They must run this car, it's what WE pay for!!

Adrian- does this mean we'll see you at the Turkey race with a new car?

That would be really nice but I doubt it will be in my hands by then. It will be a couple weeks until the kits go out to dealers and another week to ship from Stormer. I'll be there running my T3 though.

Thank you Associated for perfect timing! I just got rid of my 10R5 and backup roller on eBay about 3 weeks ago. What does Stormer have them for cause I was just on Amain a little bit ago and didn't see them.

Ouch! $289

Wow, I'm glad I pre-ordered yesterday. I got it for $249.99

I'd still get it for $289 though. There is a lot going on in the kit. A lot of carbon/CNC work, anodized threaded inserts, etc...

The CRC Gen X10 LE was $289 when it was new.

Sean Cochran 11-06-2012 04:42 PM

AE actually started shipping some last week.

Why the price increase?

Stormer may not have had the final pricing when they posted the kit at first. That is a fair price for a full WGT kit..same as the CRC, Serpent, SpeedMerchant and less than the conversions kits like the CEFX and On Point.
