My TRR 235 conversion is almost done. Just need to mount and paint the body and check everything works as it should. Will start with 2S 10.5t blinky

Inline front axles and a TC shock will be sometime in the future - there's no Pro10 racing here, this is purely a very nice toy for myself.

Same here Scott, just something for myself. The 10R5.1 looks good. I wonder if I could afford it?

Looks good Scott.
Do the inlines before you do your body.
If not, you get a large cutout at the front due to an increase of wheelbase from the inline axles.

Regards Roy

Good point Roy. The car has many wheelbase options, and I've set it at the longest. So if I put inline axles in, I'll shorten the car to match the current wheelbase.

Or it may be a good excuse for a new body down the track

Fran, you're in the right place, this thread is for the 200mm WGT car. Some of us have converted them to 235mm, but it's not worth starting a new thread for that.

Unfortunately I can't help with WGT-R though. Hope someone responds.

Thanks Scott. I know there's a WGT-R specific thread, but I was hoping to get some feedback here from the AE fans.

On the smaller tracks, you can run it with a Porsche 962 body 200MM in Pro10 config.

Thanks Dumper. He comes up to race with our club, but I haven't seen him for a few months! We are the only 5.1's running at our track. There's a 10R5 that just on rails that races with us (more chassis flex I suppose helps)
I moded the center stiffing rails on mine to try my car with the battery in the transverse position. I lost a lot of steering with that layout. Back to the drawing board.....

Get your hands on some battery holders and cut them along the way to get a bit more flex in the chassis.
