Default entry level 1/10 touring car?

I have been researching most of the day. I have raced 2 and 4 wd sct for a few years. I am looking for and entry level 1/10 touring set up. I want something not too expensive and will allow me to a little competitive and not have my doors blown off. I don't won't to put too much into this until I see if I enjoy it. Any ideas of kits and/or rtr.
I currently have some electronics if they will work.
I have a new Revtech 17.5, new savox servo (bought for sct) and receiver. I would need a decent esc, thinking something priced like a HW. Any help would be appreciated.

I would look at finding a used xray on rctech. I would also look at your nearest track and find out what everyone is running so you will have some setup help, and also see what your LHS stocks as far as parts. I have 2 xray t3's and love them. They are great cars and very durable i have only broke 1 part on one of them in the past year. Associated has a good car and can be found pretty cheap for a used one.

Thanks guys,
Would my electronics work? I've only saw I touring track and looked small-med sized. The guy that came in 2nd was friend of mine running a tc6.1 with a 17.5 motor. It was his first time racing touring.

If my electronics would work, I could spend more on a kit. If not, I would be looking for something like the AE tc4 rtr

Having a hard time finding a used on on rctech. I will keep checking as I wouldn't have a problem with used.

If the local class is 17.5 then your existing electrics will work fine. For an ESC, I would surely recommend the Speed Passion Reventon S or R. If you will be running 17.5 only the S will work fine, the R gives you the ability to go down to a 5.5. As for kits, finding one used on here would be good but keep in mind that you might end up replacing a lot of parts. As for new, the one I would suggest looking at is the Serpent S411 Sport. It is fully upgradeable to the Team Edition but is going for 249.99. Leave some room in your budget for tires and tuning parts (springs, sway bars, etc.) and have fun.

Why get something used or a RTR? Get a Team Associated TC6.1 Factory Team kit! They're on sale on the AE website right now for $250. That's pretty inexpensive and you'll have a very competitive car!

+1 on the Spec-R R1 and both sites. I'm in Houston where Reflex is from and know the owner, GREAT guy and he makes it his priority to ship everything super fast. He is ramping up his TC business right now so check the site often for new additions.

Also on ESC, if you are just going to run 17.5 Blinky spec then Reflex also has the hobbywing justock for $50. I just bought one for my blinky application and I'm very happy with it.

I say tc4 club racer ($150) if you want it cheap or tc6.1 if you want to spend....... The tc4 is still competitive , by the way.....
