VFS Booster from Kopropo
#1

Dear fellow racer,
I have order one unit of VFS Booster and would like to know is there any difference with the normal capacitor or diode. Have anyone try it. Can you guys give me some feedback on whether it works or not. Need to understand the concept behind it. I usually run in stock class and I am trying to make the motor run as fast as possible. The class that I run have control on battery and motor. Therefore every bits of power will be very useful to me.
Hope to hear from all of you have try the VFS Booster.
TQ

Can you explain what you mean about the "normal" capacitor and diode? For stock, I use a 680uF cap although the one that comes with the KO is just fine. I would use a regular package Schottky diode instead of the one that comes with it. They're cheaper and appear more durable. The KO VFS is a great speed control. The frequency stepping is a really neat feature to tweak your powerband for different surfaces. If you need any help programming it, just ask.

The KO VFS Hyper Booster works!!!!!!!!!!! We have tried them for about a month and loved them ! In this country, where stock 23T and Tamiya Championship Series are the most popular races and attract most participants, they are selling like hot cakes at this moment.
They are not the same as the ordinary Shotki diode and are definetely worth buying (the full retail price is Yen5000).
KO claims it boosts 20% of extra power. While we could not measure any exact figures, we could easily feel the extra power punch.
Cheers!

Do we still need to install any schotty diode once we install the VFS unit??
Are you guys very very sure that it works well for any kind of ESC such as the GM-V12 & LRP Quatum??

no need to install any other shotki diode. THe VFS Hyper booster itself is a shotki diode but with a much much higher efficiency.
We have tried with all kind of top of the line ESC including GMV12XCx.

Ok, can anyone post a pic of this thing? I am curious as to what it is. This sounds like a turbo that they sell for the mini z cars.
