The price tag from the KO Propo factory is JPY5000. Obviously, the price will vary from one country to another. In where I am living, it will be a little below the suggested retail price.

rcsabah: The VFS Hyper Booster is a shotki diode (but with much higher efficiency). So, there is no need to 'disconnect' it after using it. As mentioned, we have tried with all top of the line ESC such as V12XC, LRPQuantum/ FutabaMC800.

Cheers!

the factory suggested retail price is JPY5000 i.e. approx.USD42.
Naturally, the street price varies in every country.

Can the hyper booster take the place of the in line shotki diode on a GT7? I'm kinda hurting for space on my car.

anywhere between $40-$50. just dont connect wrong.. or you'll fire it (smoke comes out of your car) and its done. i know.

definitely worth it to get it. i solder it directly onto my motor.. but if u change motors alot.. just solder directly to your motor wires.. but as close to the end as possible.

im actually gonna try to run it in 19T this weekend. so far ive only ran it in stock.

Is this just another type of diode? What exactly is it? And can we buy the same thing from Radio Shack?

the hyper booster is just another diode... if you're hurting for space with the GT7 do this mod: I did this mod with my GT7 and R2.:

It's similar to the Novak new diode. cheaper to buy the novak for $10.00... and no..you can't buy it from Radio shack...it's on a printed circuit board.

after talking to Robert from Ko... the hyper booster helps with brush wear and gives you more acceleration.

CORRECTION: not more acceleration.. better acceleration, more punch. my mistake!

Have you seen anyone hook them up to the esc instead of the motor?

yes. i used to be that lazy that it was hooked up to my esc. Robert said it will still work.. but it'll work BETTER the closer it is to the motor.

ive actually seen people RUN TWO boosters. havent tried it yet, but its a thought?

couldn't we also do that by changing frequency? Isn't that why we bought the VSF-2000 / Twister to get better acceleration, more punch...
