Default AE TC6.1 Discontinued at Tower Hobbies

Associated TC6.1 Discontinued at Tower Hobbies.

Why would Tower stop supporting the TC6.1.

It still is the latest onroad 1/10 electric version Associated produce.

Will Tower still provide parts support for the TC6.1 or any AE product.

Seems a bit strange to me.

Was very close to buying one from these guys as the discount codes make it competitive for us in Aussie. Shops like A Main Hobbies dont do the discounts so not worth buying from them.

Where do other Aussies buy parts for AE TC6.

What other brands have easy and reasonably priced spares for Aussies.
Team Magic?, Capricorn?, TOP Photon?, Serpant?.

Isn't there a "new" TC6.1 WC edition?

top from topracing.net.au, serpent from walterrchobby, xray from HEI, associated bits are easy to get in aus too...

Yes there is the TC6.1 WC coming out. The car won at Roar Nats. Then just did very well at the IIC. Its an updated chassis.

So it's not just like its fancy shocks or something.

Try Trackside RC at Brendale, next to onroad track. Jeff (owner) runs a TC6.1 as do several others that race there on Friday nights, so he is pretty good at getting parts in when needed.

Its the same thing they did with the b4.1. When the worlds came out it was discontinued in place of the worlds car. No worries the tc6 isn't going anywhere for awhile.

Tc6.1 is still a very capable car, but with an updated kit coming, obviously they discontinue the current one... Parts will still be available for the 6.1 as well as the tc6, don't worry

The only real difference is the narrower chassis, which you can do yourself to existing TC6.1 kit anyway if you found a bargain somewhere

Your right, there is a new model coming out.
I had done a search for TC6.2 and TC7 with no results.

Only difference is 5 parts, the most costly being the chassis (thinner). So should be the same price as the old version.

Hope Tower get it in. Thought they would list it on their website.
They are already listing the 6.1WC chassis.

Thanks for the replies.

This should mean that Team Assoc. will be blowing out the 6.1 as a web special on their web sight. I got a TC5 for $199 shipped when the TC6 was released, and got a TC6 for $249 when the 6.1 came out.

How the hell did you find that. I typed all sorts in towers search and only came up with the chassis.

So price is the same as the TC6.1FT.

Thanks for the link.

I stand corrected on tower not listing the new WC variant. Just couldnt find it.
