Default Release date

Hi

When will it be ready? Any team drivers that have tested this car ? , or will it be released without any tests , hmm sounds not very serious.

I expect the dollar price to be in between of the Xray and Yokomo pricing.
You can't compare it to any of the other brands you mention because they simply can't compete in terms of part quality.
Really? You don't think Xray can / will compete in parts quality?

Thats a big call

It should be a good car, no doubt.

It's incredible how many manufacturers are launching electric TC's these days. That gives us:

TOP
Tamiya
Kyosho
VBC
Capricorn
Yokomo
Xray
HB
Serpent
Team magic
AE
Spec R
3 racing
Corally
Schumacher
Team titan
Awesomatix

That's 17 manufacturers with a high-end TC ! incredible, it's just the widest diversity any RC class has ever seen at any time, for sure. And I'm not even counting varitions within brands ( CEFX, RSD, Exotek... )
And yet, everyone says on-road racing is dead

More info will be released next week. They are currently deciding whether they will release the car before or after the 1/10 nitro worlds (16-20 november).
Preparations for the worlds are taking up a lot of time and resources because with Groskamp and Reinhard on the team they have a huge chance on earning their first WC title.

The official name for the car will be Capricorn LAB-TE01.

I can assure you the car will defiantly not be a failure.

Only Xray and Awesomatix are of a comparable level of quality, all the other, china made, stuff simply isn't.

I've had Xray cars in the past (T3 and NT1) and I'm currently driving the Capricorn cars.
And yes I think Capricorn can compete in terms of quality with Xray.
Xray is still king in the plastics department but if you ask me the metal work and overall design of the Capricorn cars is better.

Hm , i'm sorry , but sending a car on a market , that has so many top car , without a team or even had tested the car by some good drivers , So i have to agree with Theatriks , capricorn stay at nitro or support some drivers that can test the car. All the top capricorn nitro drivers either have a good electric deal or the leave capricorn to go to Xray.

Just my oppinion

What makes you think the car hasn't been tested?.
The car will be on pace out of thr box.

I can return the question , do You know that it has been testet ? I dont think so , as absolut no pictures has been showed. Not even a prototype , other than the Titan R10.

Pace out of the box , sorry , I dont buy your statment , not even in formula 1 the is a winner straight away.

Guys I think there is no need for aggressive comments. It is common for Capricorn to follow that path of introducing a new kit. They did the same a couple of years ago with their 1/8 onroad car C801. They had shown some nice CAD images, then shipped the prototypes right before the IFMAR WC warm up race and the car was right on the pace.
I do agree that in nitro racing they have far more experience and knowledge so the chances of designing a new car performing well right away were higher, but nevertheless their EP tourer cannot be that far off the pace.
About quality I don't know as I have never built one but their nitro cars do look stunning and if the electric car follows the same philosophy it should be quite good.
I have assembled Xray and Awesomatix cars and I do agree that they are the very top in quality.

You seem to be interested in buying every car out there. Every week you pop up in a new thread.

theatriks pops up in ever car thread because he's serious considered buying or bought most of them. He was looking at the TCXX but the continued delay turned him off so he got the kyosho, just sold his t3 2012, is selling his awesomatix, and who knows where he stands with the new T4, so he is a car of the month kind of guy, if there was actual pics of this car, I'm sure I'd hear about it daily at work just like every other car when pics are released

Well to tell you the truth ive been in the hobby for about 2 years now and ive learned and especially on here if you want to know the truth about a chassis and its feel you gotta drive it yourself.....theres so many biased opinions in this hobby that you dont know what the truth is.....so i figured i think im going be in the hobby a while and eventually wanna stick to one brand but wont know what brand to stick with until i try most of them for myself......hence you seeing me in a lot of different threads!...but im not a troll i actually buy the kits and comment on them accordling.
