Would be for the steering bridge mounts.
but i have never seen them used on any ARC setups.

It is an option in a number of other cars also, but again rarely ever used.

I've got a feeling that rack will have to go. Might be ok for carpet but one tiny stone could lock the whole thing up.

Other than that, if it's as good as the nitro cars, it will be a winner.

You reckon ?

Cap 190mm EP Street price: €495 ~ US$638

TCXX ~ US$499
Xray T3 ~ US$529
Serpent S411 ~469.95

TC6.1 ~ US$399
Yok BD7 ~ €439 ~ US$566

All the high end touring car were priced around US$500. This is the average "pain" level.

And the spec is somewhat similar. double deck CF plate, double belt. Gear diff, Rack steering.

You can't simply convert the euro price to a us dollar price. The €495 price includes 21% VAT.
I expect the dollar price to be in between of the Xray and Yokomo pricing.
You can't compare it to any of the other brands you mention because they simply can't compete in terms of part quality.

Yup, those were the days of TC racing 12 years ago... Back then, you could get a top of the line tourer for about $250-275 on average. Sure, the plastic tub chassis cars were popular. Parts were cheap, but companies had to pay off all those molds.

These days, companies are re-using a lot of plastic (suspension components) carried over from the normal annual changes. All they really change is the aluminum and graphite designs, where the raw material cost is higher than injection molded plastic, but they don't have to invest in more molds. They just change the design and from a manufacturing point of view, all they have to do is change the CNC program. Then they foot the bill to us, which is why touring cars have doubled in price now.

I agree DS, Europe has very sales tax (VAT), here in DK we have 25%, so US prices are not directly comparable. Only good thing is we can sell outside Europe with out VAT

Huh? Isn't this just a rebadged ARC R10? What's the ARC worth 300 or something?
