Hi guys,

I have asked the same question in the team titan ARC thread, because the ARC and TE-02 are quite similar and I'm choosing one of these two cars for the new season. So now, a question about the TE-02. Maybe this has been asked before, don't know. Right now I'm looking for a new touring car and the TE-02 is a serious candidate. There's only one problem for me: this car comes with the low profile shocks. My problem: I've got loads of 'normal profile' springs and not really planning to change to low profile. Is there any chance I can use normal lenght springs/shocks (for instance, maybe a different shock tower or something)?

Thanks in advance.

man if you didn't live in the Netherlands I would trade my standard shocks and some for your big bore. I need the big bores for my GT bodies that's why. If you are interested PM me.

But let me get this straight; the big bores are shorter than the standard shocks like the TE-01 has? That is right, isn't it? (Confused right now).

Yes they are but are wider to compensate for the shorter height

Hi Govert,

Just to give you a few things to think about before you decide, hope not to mess you up ;-)...

In general you should concider how the traction is where you normally race. Big Bore are basically made for high traction tracks and standard size shocks for low to medium traction tracks...

I have raced in Heemsteed at the Mach track a few times in the past and I wouldnt call it a high traction tracks ;-)....

Another thing, I would defenitely consider the TE02 because of the other updated parts you get, such as new motor mount, floating servo mount, chassis and the V2 shocks and lot's of other new parts...

The first versions of the shocks were not so good, Big Bore or standard shocks, you should get a car with the V2 shocks (Cap has them for both BB and std shocks)...

If you like a TE02 with standard shocks/shock towers I'll be more than happy to give you a offer..

You can find our shop here: www.rc-netshop.dk

Thank you Niko for your analysis. You are right, MACH has medium grip, so probably big bores wouldn't be an advantage.

So I assume the 'old' shocktowers just bold on without issues. That would be great.

I will contact you Niko, let's see what is possible

Thanks a lot!

we generally run 0.5mm under the blocks here in the UK, feels much better than 1mm on asphalt

Hi Guys why is it that big bore shocks work better on high traction compared to standard shocks? Is it the oil / piston combos or travel or ??
