We would love to have you race with us! Fastlane oval runs on Thursday nights and one Sunday a month.

If you'd like to try onroad racing, just let me know and I'll reserve one of my loaner cars for you to use. The only item you need to bring is YOU! Arrive, enter, and drive! Onroad runs on Sundays.

Check the Fastlane schedule, as it can vary due to special events.
are you going to be racing next sunday?

Dumb question, but in breakout racing is there something that tells you what your last lap time was so you can get a feel for what your target time should be or if you can/should speed up?

Not normally - you would either need a spotter w/ a stop watch - or base it on reading the results after the race.

I Have seen some announcers (including myself) who would call lap times, but it can be difficult to do that, and watch/call the race at the same time.

It really helps to set your car up in practice - and make sure to get your practice lap times from each session to see how you are progressing.

Things are headed towards a return of the SWT Series, but for
2017 the focus will be on the Encino Velodrome (and dirt oval racing)

The announcer at our local track usually calls all out lap times, especially if he thinks you are cutting it a bit too close.

I've also been racing mini and micro cars at a friend's house, and he has modified the FlipSide Racing software to automatically call out lap times. He has also added the option of having the computer automatically announce "Breakout!" along with the driver's name and the offending lap time. It works fantastic, and is very convenient, since there's usually nobody available to announce the race (since they are either driving or marshalling).

The FlipSide program runs with many decoders, including AMB, Robotronics, and my own Cano decoder (that you can read about here: http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...g-decoder.html).

You are welcome! It was fun having you race with us.

Let me know if you want to do it again! I don't always have time to keep track of posts here on the forum, so it's a good idea to contact me via private message (which is forwarded to my email).
