Hmm, it looks like there isn't enough support on the lower portion(lower mounting screw) to handle being cut. I'd rather just pick up a new one...

Well, I've just done a couple searches, and can't find that mount. Is that part not yet available?

the car has not been release...thus the parts are not yet available. they'll probably not be available for months after the cars release...if it ever makes it to the US. It may like the Pro3 Special Edition or Hara Edition... never made it to the US.

Ok, I was hoping that something like it would be available. I don't think cutting the stock mount is a good idea.

I agree that. I don`t think at it is necessory to cut it. Benefit of it is almoust nothing and it`s ugly too when it cutted.

Well, I'm not realy concerned with the apperence. I want to be able to switch motors easier and more quickly. I switch motors 2-3 times per raceday, so an open ended mount would help alot. My only concern is the structural integrety of the mount. If it felxes at all, the pinion will chew up the spur...

i hope not that is why i like the pro4 it is one of the best tc but still one of the cheapest competitive cars.

i wouldn't think it would raise the price up that much. any way if they do i will still buy one.

can someone tell me with the 05 edition being realeased will the stop the previous pro4???

as from what i was told by our hpi dealer, 2005 edition will come in limited quantities and the retail price will really be higher approx 100-150$.

it should be available in a month, or so.
