Come on guys lets clean this thread up abit and keep on topic. There were some great races throughout the week and new Champions crowned.
Yes, I know things were run like crap and the host facility made a complete mockery of a prestigious event and Roar dropped the ball( no motor tech, come on!!) but us ranting about it isn't going to change a thing and we know it.
I enjoyed watching the factory guys wheel and made the best of what we had to work with.
I also had a blast with the group of guys I sat with. The joking and good mood made it easier to get through such a long week.

I attended a one day off-road series race earlier this month that had 265 enteries in it. It was a Jimmy Babcock racing league series race, round one held at Socal raceway. The day was long we started at 9:00 A.M and finished @ 10:00 P.M. Jimmy runs the races and he has one tech guy, the raceing goes on without a glitch, Jimmy gives away good prizes from the sponsors. Look at this list of factory drivers that were there (I'm going to be a jerk here and do some name dropping) MF was there along with Ryan Cavalieri, Travis Amezcua, Mike Truhe, Brent Thielke, Josh Numan, Joe Pillars, Kurt Wenger, Greg Hodapp, Jesse Robbers, and Derek Furutani. ( I don't know why Brain Kinwald wasn't there Socal is his home track). My point is if Roar doesn't get it's act together soon it will be defunct(sp) in two years.

Thumbs down

Kawa62684. Thats a poorly national event for you. I herd about Putnam bring parts from NY.I cant believe you even spent the money to go. You would have had more fun at the club sunday than wasteing all that time on roar and the chamber !
Roar is a national thing we all spend money on(like it or not0 every motor is Roar appooved. We need a new body to be created. Crown events shouldent be run like this and should be taken seriously by both parties, why not an interview process for the track and its employees.
Roar is a business we all support in one way or another, when i dont like a business i dont suport it.Business i like i will support no matter the event.
I cant wait till the off road mod nats at madness to take the black eye off the east coast,it will be first class.

I had the pleasure of attending & racing.
All I can tell you is the positive things of the Nat's
Great Racers sponsored or non sponsored attended
All the top drivers were as polite as they can be
It was great meeting new people & hanging out with known drivers & friends.
The best was in one of the mod races when they took out the entire lap system from the dukes of hazard stunt.
That was the most fun part of the event.
It was a rough event but one that can be looked at & laugh about because of all the fun everyone brang to the event.
To top it off got to see some great racing
The owner tryed the best that he could a lot of mistakes that he will learn from & for Mr Lee as well
But it was a great day cause after all for alot of region 1 racers it just makes us more eager for the summer nitro & electric season to begin & for the facilitys that most racers go to can't wait for RCmadness, prospeed, middleburry to open cause a lot of us will be there & ROAR events has been great in the outdoors.
Congrats to all that won.
