It may need a larger pit area; but, I agree that this track should bid for the national championship...And Stockton too.

Nice track. Is that permanent? I can't imagine an RC track could afford a place like that.

Good to hear some spectators were getting in at the nats.

here's the dirt I can't get any results as they have a bunch of edits to do to the 4th round and even one to the 3rd round. I'll see what I can do in the morning. as for spectators there were some today and it is a room issue you can't see much from the one place if some of the other drivers get on the track. as for the prototype stuff it's one of those deals it's happened before with chassis in mod class we'll see how it plays out. now the funny thing is the only protest came against Jon Orr from Trinity as Orr seems to be the only threat to the trinity camp. I noticed that they didn't protest the one in touring car. more later

The layout for the nats was designed by Frank Calandra. I am not enitre sure that it is an all horse power and no skill track.

Motors must be on the approved list and in distribution before it can be used at a ROAR sanctioned event.

This is out of ROAR's hands. If Hobby Chamber doesnt want people wandering around, there really isnt much that ROAR can do about it. Take it up with George.

Yes this perment. The owner laid his nuts on the table and took a gamble. i think that it will payoff in the long run. also the pictue doens't show all the pit space. There is enough room for at least 250 racers!

Any track wanting to host a nataional event has to apply to hold the event. I believe Hobby Chamber and Halo Hobbies both applied for oval and onraod carpet nats. The Oval Committee chose Halo and I beleive that left Hobby Chamber as the host for the onroad event.

ROAR can not control the actions of any one person or track owner. We provide guidelines and try to manage situations, the overall race experience and atmoshpere falls on the shoulders of the race host and race director. It bothers me that if people can't watch then it can't be promoted.

I read about the meltdown, I wasn't there, but it not right. Anybody would agree. As far as spectator room, pits, and electricity, ROAR has to rely on the word of the host track. Maybe we need to visit each track and verify. Maybe I need to take that role on as Track Adminstrator.....who knows. But this will be addressed.

What is often overlooked by host tracks....ROAR is not NASCAR and we do not roll into town with the white truck...we sanction and the host track runs the event. The race director is the event manager and the designated ROAR official is there to provide a final decision for interpretation of rules and support of the race director. It is pretty common to remind the hosts of the guidelines and race requirements. But often we have to take the word of the host.

ROAR is not perfect....I'll be the first to admit it. Feel free to send me oyur thoughts at [email protected] . But also please remember everyobiody has an opinion, comment or solution, but not all can be applied for the good fo the hobby.

Good luck all drivers!

Huskerfreak! Get a bid in by July 31, 2005 to ROAR to host the event in 2006. Sweet facility and the location criteria of central location sounds right on.
