Ok...... from what I am reading it is a 100 x 50 track. Now... Modified is running sub 9 second laps? Ok, i think that is a little wide open for a Nationals layout.

It was open enough to lay down the ponies, but technical and flowing to challenge both car and driver. That's what a real racetrack should be like.

As far as the track as a whole, it looks like a pretty nice facility. The one thing that bugs me is that people had to bring their own chairs. I know it's not a very profitable business, but have enough chairs for people for a race of this magnitude.

Ian, well respected names actually said that? I am surprised. The best racing is on the technical tracks. Guys that can go toe-to-toe for 5 minutes at the speed modified cars go is very impressive on technical tracks. Best racing display I've seen: Paulie and Josh at this year's Cleveland.
Sorry pal there are chairs for every pit table, people just chose to use their own

Real Estate is priced by the square foot per year - not per month.

Here in Central Florida, you will find $4-8 per foot. 12k' @ $4/ft is $48,000k per year, divided by 12 months - $4k per month.

Ok kids. This is the best I can do to feed your hunger for updates. I just got off the phone with Ray Darroch and he said the track is eating cars. He's broken both is Stock Touring and 12 scale in like a five minute period. He said everyone looks pretty fast. Talked to Chris Goetz (representin the gate..lol) and he said he's doing alright. Beaver ppl-- Danny Hartman's running about the same lap times as Darroch. Go Danny

p.s.- SUPER frustrated about hobby chamber's webcam... I CANNOT get it to work.

Well to be honest when I talked to Chris he was taking his first bathroom break in hours... as well as the rest of the guys. I don't have his official lap times or anything, but he seemed in high spirits and had no complaints. And I'm not really sure about paul. They are gonna call me back within the hour and ill get some dirt. haha.

Thanks to the contributors for the pictures and the clarifications from those present about the track.

Somewhat wondering how the turn marshalls are supposed to effectively handle the cars with the outer perimeter of the track positioned flush against two walls? Am I missing something? Maybe it is common condition for certain tracks; but, I haven't seen any tracks do that.
