I hate it. Seems to only be good for a couple runs. I don't like charging my battery in the car. So after two or three runs I have to replace it. I know it's not thst hard but its kind of a pain.

If you wipe it down with motor spray and a lint free towel it will re-gain it's adhesion.

Little tip I believe I learned from Rui Goncalves.

Honestly, you need better tape. I run a piece of tape for 20 runs before swapping it out for a new one.

I use either Intertape or the Hudy stuff...both work very well.

Velcro picks up every bit of fluff and looses is grip, more of a pain getting rid of that than tape.

With tape you get what you pay for, the hudy stuff is superb, I easy get 4 quallies and 2 finals no probs, take it off to clean the car after that anyway.

Each to his own.

While they are more expensive, I can go a weekend with the Hudy tape.... I also see a number of people running the TOP tape and reusing it for the day.... One thing I do, when I remove the battery, I put the tape on the chassis so it is flapping in the air to collect dust...

Yeah, I can kinda agree that tape is a little of a pain, but I also agree with Art and my tape lasts 20 runs or so.

BTW, measure the tape out using your car as the ruler. The tape should measure about 2 inches longer than the car, from rear shock tower to front bumper. Pull it out to that length, cut, slap on.

Since using the Hudy tape. I have never had it split.

Well for me running the shorty setup tape is out of the question . So drilling and countersinking a hole was the best choice . And the RSD battery holder is stupid easy to remove and install packs . All it takes is shimming it correctly to tighten up at the point the top plate overlaps the battery . I used thread lock on the top screw so all I have to do is turn mount 1/4 turn to remove battery . Works like a charm

You're either not running the tape they sell in the shop, or are not using it right. That tape is as good as it gets and will last me several race days.

I used it tonight and it was fine. I think I just liked the ease of the Velcro. But I had no issues tonight.

Drove the T4 tonight. Felt great. Won my first sedan race. Only 3 of us finished so it wasn't a huge accomplishment, although the guy that came in second is an awesome driver. I just got lucky. Out of the 5 cars tonight 4 were a T4. Can't wait to get more laps in with it.

If you watch the video you can see my epic fail at 2:10. I'm not a huge fan of high speed chicanes haha, neither is my spur gear.

Lol every on road car that ran tonight was an x ray. I should've raced sedan instead of buggy. O well.

And they were all T4's except 1. Thanks cole for putting that up.
