I decided to get back into TC racing and ran my T4'13 in 17.5 spec TC over the weekend. The car is traction rolling. We run on black Ozite. I tried different springs, shock positions, camber changes, droop settings, gluing the front tires, and different camber locations. Any insight would be great.

Glue the sidewalls of the front wheels for starters.

I did glue the front side walls. This helped a little, but not enough. I will see what I can come up with for stiffing the chassis. I assume that I should reduce the twisting of the chassis from side to side? What would be a good starting point for pistons and oil? I have 4 hole 1.1's with 27.5 wt Losi front and rear. 2.7 springs in front and 2.6 springs in the rear.

Reduce droop, add 1mm shim to inside front upper link. Also, where does it go over? If it rolls as soon as you turn in, the front springs/shocks are too stiff. If it rolls later in the turn try softer springs.

Heavier oil (35wt) all around and softer springs in the rear.

Nope, just the front tires, it was proven to me last summer that you don't need to glue the rear tires to cure traction rolling.

Thanks for the ideas. I will get back to the track to test and see what I come up with. Are the newer T4's less prone to traction roll? |

It tends to roll once I am into the turn. The car tends to lift even when it does not go all the way over. I tried a combination of 2.7, 2.6, & 2.5 springs. The softer springs seemed to be the most predictable.

I was able to get back to the track to and do some testing. The 35 wt oil helped a little, but was not the fix. I experimented with droop and ride height also. I ended up putting the front and rear inner hinge pins in the +.75mm location. This was the solution along with a new high down force body. Going from 3000 cst to 7000 cst in the rear diff was a big help also. Thanks for all the help. Although the car is much better, I have decided to move to a T4 2018.
