just out of curiousity i was wondering how much difference to lap times a dirty track makes? i was testing today and i managed very consistent 15 sec laps,my best on a race day was 14.69 but my car is faster now,i broke into the 14's a few times,so would a clean track equate to half a sec a lap faster or more? the track was smothered in pollen, just trying to get an idea as to whether im up to speed or if i still need to play around with the settings, roll on sunday, where ill find out for definate,oh i was on old rubber worn through to the belting,i put on a brand new unscrubbed set and still did 15's,but with more rear grip i lost some steering,so need that back, maybe i can lose some rear toe in ?
the fast guys on race day are doing 14/14.2 average

I also have one more question. What is the reasoning behind a softer spring being more helpful for carpet and a stiffer spring for asphalt? In my mind I think carpet provides higher traction and more roll just generates more traction. And a hard spring on asphalt wouldn't allow the weight transfer to the outside wheel to provide more traction. Clearly I'm wrong as RSD says the carpet springs are a lower rate than their asphalt.

Only difference is ride height (fr 5.2 r 5.5) and I have between 1 and 2mm shim inner rear bulks and the front links are in hole 2.
I really think it's the way I'm applying the sauce

ive put my front shocks to hole 2 now for tomorrows test, that should help with more steering on new tyres, plus im going back to 3.25 rear toe ,and ill cut the rear wing down a bit, there should be a few of us at the track tomorrow so the track should clean up a bit better,im hoping to get down to 14.4

My mod sedan weights 1382 with 30g added.
Same battery, same speedo, same servo. My mod car has Paul's titanium screw kit which weights just over half the weight of the stock screws, which I will also be adding to my stock car. Both cars should drop weight with the orca packs and my mod car will drop a lot of weight with an orca mod motor.

I use 6000 and 7000 both ORCA and with no weight added to the car I can get it balanced perfect left and right. Obviously a little difference with the 6000 in the car but not enough to add weight since its perfect with the 7000

Why do you think the car will drop weight with ORCA packs$ are they lighter?
