Your servo arm is way to short if I where you I used the servo link from the kit.
This is a good and thrustfull device and give full lock if required.

I agree. The servo horn is a bit on the short side. That's probably why you have so little steering throw.

i was using the kit servo saver hence why i have done this,
its no shorter than the standard servo saver, identical length, after testing today its a huge improvement over stock,i even dropped the d/r to 82%
its nice to know that at a tighter track itll help me get through the infield faster, the main reason for doing this was the savox servo im using is slow,im now only using 50 degrees of servo throw to achieve the same full lock, but steering response is faster,i wasnt checking lap times so dont know if its faster per lap or not,ill find that out at tomorrows meeting
i timed a 17.5 guy and he was posting 16.3
i had a run around with him and im sure i was 1.5 sec faster
the top guys are getting around in 14.4,still looks promising for tomorrow
plus i was on 32ry's when 28r's would have been the better choice
my best lap was a 15.11 with a tc6 2 meetings ago,i only managed a 15.3 with the t4 at the last meeting but i was slower down the straight, thats now sorted

What I wish is that Xray would make shorter steering mount posts so we could just flip the whole steering rack. That way we could mount the servo link in the middle like the BD. Lower CG and no steering stop. This always made more sense to me. Anyone out that can CNC some short aluminum or titanium posts?

The car just always seems to work and have more traction than needed (maybe its just me) and sometimes feels too planted but always fast and easy to drive..
The spool rips out of the corner, my only experience with a diff up front is with nitro cars and even then I used a spool, that's why I say start at 300k and go up but the guy a few posts back says start at 1million or its useless.. IMHO if its that hard I'd use a spool

well what can i say, much faster today,as i said my best lap was a 15.30,today i blitzed it with a 14.69 in the 2nd a final, the car got faster all day as well as me,i made a few small changes which got me 6th in the a final,1st final i dropped to 8th,i put a 2mm shim behind the shock cap and managed 4th in the second final, for about 4 mins i was in second but a quick roll saw me in 3rd and half a lap from the end i saw an orange car and thought it was the leader and let him through to later find out he was in fourth,so i could have made 3rd,still very happy with the outcome, roll on the next meeting

It is another way of aproach, and with your explanation it can work in the right way.
thanks

Default Min/Max no of teeth

Does anyone know the min & max number of teeth that you can use on the T4 with 48 dp gears?

Max appears to be 118 but minimum?

118 would be 64 dp = 118/38 or 100/18
48dp would be 87/34 or 69/12
this is from the xray fdr sheet

Anything larger than a 114t 64p sticks out below the bottom of the chassis.

Believe the max with 48dp is 119.

I ran an 80t spur with 19 pinion today, but it does depend on the 'chanfer on the motor etc as it was close to the top deck.

I think the minimum tooth count is 99t

For the asphalt setup, I got to the point where I had to take the rear swaybar off to take care of the corner exit oversteer issue. It is almost there but I am still feeling the rear end trying to come out. It is just not suiting my driving style. So I am going to put 1.2 mm hole pistons in the rear dampers to soften the back and stand up the front shocks until I can order a stiffer front sway bar.

I have 48P 78/40 on my car right now and I don't think I can get another tooth on it.

While we are talking about 48P gears... Anyone know where I can get a spur gear smaller than 78T in 48P? I wanted to go up a tooth or 2 today but couldn't and the 78T spur was the smallest spur I found. I really dont want to switch to 64P since I have all kinds of 48P pinion gears that I use on my offroad cars too.

I was having the same dilemma but I don't have many 48p gears anyway, so I bought 64p gears. You have more options with 64p...
