Yep, I turned up two 16mm delrin washers 5mm thick, with longer counter sunk screw I fixed them through the top bumper plate into the bumper towers. The washer are now in contact with the front bulkhead, I replaced the bumper with a stiffer TC4 bumper that cut down to the thickness of the new Xray T4 bumper.

Ok it might undermine 1000 hour of testing and R&D by Team Xray drivers but Team Xray would buy me a new chassis if I damage it?................err, no!

PS the new bumper weighs 3grms, usless as a bumper but makes a great fake moustache for the kids

The car bulkheads are really slim compared to the T3: http://cl.ly/K70C

I love building this kit! Everything fits perfectly together. Only Xrays and Mugens are such a joy to build ^^

Not like building the new TCXX then, I do miss Xray quality

Incorrect. The chassis at the widest point is the same width as the old car. Its narrower on the front and rear where the arms mount.

Except that there is no 'nub' for the outboard servo mount on the new car...

What is surprising though is that despite the thinner chassis, smaller shocks, reduction in amount of material used for the bulkheads, shorter shock towers, the car weighs pretty much identical to my '12.

At least I know that when nexusracing gets them in, it will be at my door a few days later. I get stuff faster from them than orders from a hobby shop that's less than 30 minutes drive from my place.
Nexus Racing ships same day on orders recieved by 3pm eastern time. The owner is an onroad racer, had the pleasure to race with him last week. He understands that " when u order it...you need it".
