The four I got in my S1 kit are all 50mm. Why do you say the fronts are 52mm?

This is a timely topic. I was running mine this weekend and the darn thing broke. Not at the pin area but where the axle part goes from the larger diameter to the small threaded size.

Yeah, I just double checked. All four are 50mm. Of course I put a gear diff in the front and put blades on the shaft but it sits 2/3rds of the way in. But 50mm would fit the outdrive on the spool as well.

Default Spec-R Spring Rates?

Are the Spec-R spring color codes the same as X-Ray?

I was looking for some stiffer springs at the race on Sunday and ended up slapping the Whites on the front and I used my AE Silvers on the rear. It worked beautifully.

So I looked up the X-Ray white and it is about the same as the AE Blues which is what I would have put on had I had them.

So if the whites are truly about 17lbs, I think I'll stick with them.

hi, my son has broken a driveshaft and a spool outdrive. I've ordered a gear diff for him and some 50mm Sport driveshafts. It is the 50mm ones I need for the gear diff in the front isn't it ?I forgot to order blades though, can Xray 3.5mm ones fit ?

That's what I've got on mine. Of course, that's what broke on me too... With the blades, it fits well inside the outdrive. Not anywhere near the end like if it were supposed to be the 52mm.

I got a pair of blades from a X-ray guy this weekend, they fit.

Then I went back and got the worn-out outdrives that they came from...

Did you get 500,000 wt diff oil for the front?

Hello

You need the 52mm for the fronts.

For everyone concerned.

R1 has 52mm at the fronts, 50mm at rear.
S1 has 50mm all around.

But why does the S1 have 50mm in the front? I thought, the drivetrain from the R1 and S1 is the same?
I ordered the 3Racing 52mm SSK (for Xray T3) for my S1. Hope, the will fit.

Regards,

Chris

Im not sure why that is. I can see from the manuals that the R1 is running more positive camber up front with the tie rods "S1"14.5mm "R1" 15.5mm so thats where the difference is made up I think. The ones you got should fit regardless. You might need to adjust your tie rods to the R1 specs.
