i tried both std springs, tamiya and yokomo
1st practice with the car, i was fastest with the yokomo springs, but will test yokomo and tamiya back to back again on a different track
the feeling in the car was a little more responsive with the tamiya springs

Hi Spencer,
Honestly, I'd start with my carpet set up but with 2mm under front inner link, and 5.5 & 4.5 on droop, then add your favourite springs, (hpi for outdoors)

I think it's on petit RC, I can't upload it to my blog right now because the Eblogger app sucks lol

Yeah I found it cheers, so you don't run any spacers under the toe blocks?
#537
Yep I've been running my blocks flat, if your looking for a bit more roll then throw 0.5 under to test out.

tested the car again yesterday, this time on a small med traction carpet track, the car is really awesome! using jeffs hangar setup the only thing i have changed is 2000oil in the rear diff and springs, all screws in the topdeck
tried tamiya white/blue vs yokomo pink/blue springs back to back the whole day and the car really comes alive for me with the yokomo springs, very easy to drive and very fast rotation in the corners.
have ordered the floating servomount and will try that out asap.. first race meeting with the car this coming weekend, let the weekend come fast!!

Ok, I'm back in town and they rebuilt my local track! Resurfaced, new layouts and all so I'm going to try the new setups and such and see what I can get.
Also my LHS at the track will start stocking parts for the Spec-R so it's really turning out to be a winner!
Check out our new track layout here in Houston! if you are ever around H-town stop by, we race every Thursday night! you'll see a every kit represented including at least three Spec-Rs.
