When i build the car i didn't use the screws that goes into the spur/motor mount.
I did raise the upperdeck with shims of 0,3mm to get some more flex and it did work wel.
@Valk,
I think the standard spring rates are way to high for outdoor, i will try to order the soft spring set and see how they perform.
I've mounted the front dampers in the second hole starting from the inner hole and at the rear they are mounted in the middle hole.
But this wknd is propably the last time i will run outdoors, so further testing have to wait untill next year.
But then it's time to start testing indoors

Hi All,
I'm getting a fluttering kind of noise when cornering. At first I thought it might of been the body rubbing. But there is not sign of this.
Anything I should be looking for?

Perhaps that could be the cause.
Or maybe something is rubbing against another part while cornering.

filippimini. It will be the front drive shafts, they chatter at full lock. There are 2 fixes.
1. Remove the front spool and install a gear diff (same as the rear one) with thick oil (500000 or above)
2. CVD's to replace the stock drive shafts.
The fix you use will be determined by your driving style.

Ive hit a snag..
What spur gear fits the S1/S2,with no mods, or is the best fit. Panaracer, 3racing or another
The Spec-r spurs dont go small enough & the kit spur has far to many teeth for the FDR Im after
My Kawada spurs are far to wide in the middle, so the bushing sticks out.
Obviously cant use them & I dont want to start hacking into the bushing untill I get some spares of those. Only seen to able to get the white bushing, not the original plastic bushing.

Kimbrough. Panaracer.
Ps don't worry about the bushing sticking out. I just shim them on the outside for whatever spur I'm gonna use.
By this I mean 7mm shims.to space it.out.when you press it.into its bulkhead. I've also installed.them backward which fits with kimbrough.
Its ok if it floats a little bit. Just adjust it in such a way with shims that the belts are straight.

If the spur is too wide, it will move the 2 layshaft pullies outward, so the belts will be on a bit of an angle.
Has that been an issue for anyone ?
I just tried a 3racing spur. Still far to wide/thick, I need something rather thin in the middle . I'll order a panaracer, maybe a RW Racing, I know they make some thin spurs.
Looks like I'll miss my race meet next week, waiting for spurs to arrive.

meh. ignore posts without meaningful information..
whenever you order parts, get some 7mm shims and just space it out from the outside of the bulkhead. i dont run any shims, i just press the bushings in til they dont bind and dont tighten the screw home.
the layshaft will not move once installed.

Today was my first race with the S2.
It took me just 2 qualifs (second qualif wasn't needed but i did participate) to take TQ and 2 finals to take 1st overall.
The car was super and a plesure to drive.
Very smooth and very easy to drive, just the way i like it
