Lucky for him he has the right spare parts along with him.
When i looked at the car the first thing i checked was the spur, but it didn't had slop.
He said that there are spacers included in the kit to prevent that.
One thing i did notice was that the car was more overall narrower then my TRF416X, perhaps this has something to do with the suspension setup inserts.
Overall i was impressed about this new chassis.
The car is quite remarkable, In the hands of our faster drivers in Houston the car was putting down crazy fast laps. The "slop" in the layshaft assembly is mostly due to the type of Spur gear you use. Kimbro Spurs have much less slop for instance. I honestly think they meant to include flanged bearings for the layshaft and it was just an oversight. with the kit spacers, spur and flanged bearings it is absolutely perfect. My Kimbro doesn't even need the spacers.

Does anyone know what Fans are compatible with the stock fan mount for the motor?

Was designed for the basic 30mm fans. I'm sure you could fit slightly larger/smaller if need be.

I ordered my S1 from there on the evening of November 6th, got it yesterday. No issues along the way.

Pretty much got the S1 together, layshaft needs sorting but I'll get that done later. Got it in there without any spacers at the moment as I'm not going to run it yet. Should be easy enough to fix when I need to.

Few things to note:

Comes with all the roll bar mounts, you just need some roll bars that'll fit.
Plastics are quite stiff, tapping really does help.
Shocks are incredibly similar to the TRF ones - in fact the parts seem to be interchangeable.

Hello

Yeah I read that, the only thing I can think for the hold up is it's in customs.

Anyone with a S1 find any required/beneficial hope ups needed from the R1?

I'd bet on sway bars as the only needed upgrade. I'll have access to one this Thursday and give more of my opinion on it then.

I'll bet we could all use the Aluminum Servo mount that is due out soon. Other than that it's just bulkheads and the like and as hard as the plastics have been thus far I highly doubt you'd "NEED" to upgrade to ALU bulkheads.

After driving Xeno's R1 I was quite impressed and ordered an S1. It should be in any day now. I'm stoked!

Chris, your S1 is at the shop. If you want to pick it up before Thursday, we can arrange for it.
