I stuck with 48 pitch, mostly because i have a crap load of pinions and spurs from other cars. I think my current gearing is 75/32 and for the track i race on, i can throw another 7T of pinion on there yet. I am still working up on my gearing as i become more consistent with the car.

As for what you should be running, well, i would look in on the fast guys and see what rollout they are using, and work up to that, keeping a close eye on your temps as you do so.

Nope, I get everything from TQ RC Racing.

http://www.tqrcracing.com/

My S1 won the VTA A-main tonight in Indy. I wasn't driving it, but it beat a field of 15 or more.

Finally got some time to work and finish my R1 stock by the manual setup. Running HW justock 10.5T class and nanotech 6000mah, 31T pinion and stock 84T spur looking for ratio 5, it just fits snug one more teeth and couldn't screw the motor. Now it just need to stop raining every weekend so I can get it to the track...

Only need of some shimming in steering rack and spur gear. Thinking of double CVD as next hopup to get out vibration at max turning angle.

Its my first paint job so didn't make fancy stuff and gradients, just followed the body lines and some freehand with the rattle cans...

Just a small advice, 4mm of spacers on a servo-saver could make your steering a little bit blurry... imho 2mm should be the max, and 4mm should be used only with aluminum servo horn (without servo saver)
