Theres nothing stopping you from buzzing the pivot plastic so the motor will slide further forward, that would let the motor move forward considerably and in my opinion a motor further forward in the pod is good for handling.

I was hoping to avoid any kind of permanent mod's but now that you mention it, I did see one of our guys did dremel the plastic mount around the pivot ball. I will try that, I suppose it wont be too expensive if I mess up or need to go back. Thanks!

I found out the hard way today that this servo didn't fit

guess i'm ordering a Spektrum

anyone have any opinions of the spectrum 5040?

thanks!

I know I've saw a lot of questions asking about the availability of the rear diffuser - was it ever release separately?? I don't recall seeing a post where it said it was..

one more question - can the Xti work with the original steering knuckles?? I bought the conversion kit for mine, but it didn't come with any parts to convert the knuckles to the 1/8th bearing or the new plastic pieces...

servo cases are like three bucks, to be proactive I would consider buying a few extra when you buy a servo.

I cut both ears off of my JR servo and just use Shoe Goo to hold it in place. This gives me just enough room next to the servo to mount my transponder

The diffuser is garbage unless you're going to mount it on a shelf queen.

Does your car go fast enough to make use of it?

It looks awesome, and I can tell you from experience that it does work. If it didn't work, it wouldn't be hanging off the back of my car.

I am worried about how fragile it is. For as expensive as it is, I am hesitant.

After all the shots my Xti took to the rear-end this past weekend, I can tell you it holds up VERY well. On small, tight, slow tracks it won't offer any advantage at all, but on a fast, medium to large layout, the difference in feel is immediately noticeable.

It does make ride height changes a little more difficult though.

I tried it on mine, but ended up taking it off for two reasons. First, it made changing ride height a pain (you have to remove the diffusor to get to the lower ride height screws). Second reason was all the light hearted ribbing I got about it being 1/12th scale and not a F1 class Actually, the real second reason is the current track layout at the indoor track I race at is a bit more technical than before, so I an not sure if the diffusor would do much now.

It does look good though

I have put diffusers on foam tire F1 cars and I guarantee you they work...1/12 should be no different
