Do you know if the CRC aluminum chassis is heavier or lighter than the McFactory ones?

Couple Grams heavier, but takes some abuse without bending. Its really a nice piece.

They need to list the aluminum chassis the Japanese team runs (ref CK25 manual) that doesn't require the graphite front end plate.

There is no aluminum chassis for the CK25. We only have one for the XTI-WC.

That is one of many revisions the Japanese team is currently working on, it is not a production part and is still subject to change.

I actually like it heavier. I think the lower CG have helped improve my lap time as well as consistency.

The way I drive...no aluminum chassis would stand up to the abuse

Well, other than the custom Servo/shock mount & alloy chassis .... I would say itís close enough.
I understand that CRC is promoting the Z- flex chassis as a better option rather than aluminum, but with its 90 USD price tag I would like to explore other options if possible.
Why is there a J-spec chassis (with part#)listed in the build manual, yet no availability?

It isn't "close enough". It is an entirely different car.

It is something we are working on with our Japanese team, and it really never should have made the US manual. It is more for modified in the low grip that they race on overseas.

low grip chassis for CK25? Interesting. I'm running 1/12th outside, on asphalt, it could be great...

surprised a new thread was not started for the CK25 seems to be alot of mixed confusion on which car is being discussed.

CRC has proven the stock carbon chassis works on the black carpet, i can't see a zero flex chassis at $90 being a show stopper or as a reason to go aluminum which are in same range or higher.

CRC having a aluminum chassis for sale or referenced in a manual if so, is rather contradictory also to their stance on these chassis, to slick sleeve it and say that's what the Japanese team is doing usually is not what one expect from sponsored team drivers. it creates doubt,,,which is obvious
