Default Bend or tweak the axle

Is it possible to bend or tweak a graphite axle? Trying to get my cousin into rc and had a good day. Had trouble getting the bearings off the axle to show him diff maintenance. When I roll the axle the tire wobbles. I remember costing my dad a small fortune as a kid learning NASCAR and broke a bunch of them. Still checking the rest of the parts but I'm pretty sure it's the axle

Yup it is possible actually. Often what bends is actually the screw that goes into the axle to tighten the diff nut on. That being said, I've seen an axle be bent so bad that the bearings wouldn't even come off.

Maybe the inpact is so great that it deformed the ball bearing, as well as the wheel hubs?

The wheel hubs on my CRC needs occasional replacements as they tend to be out of balance after a month or two of regular track time.

It is possible. I have seen that happen once in a great while. New hubs and axle would probably be your best bet.

Anyone using the CRC aluminum chassis?

And how does it compare to the Mcfactory chassis?

Thank you.

You can actually get one and it doesn't bend as easily. Been running it in mod for a year or so now. It seems to me to be stiffer than some of the other chassis that are out there.

I found vintage footage of Lonny racing in 1960's, or the stone age one of the two.

I raced slots from '64 all around Phoenix, but not on that track. Wish I had, it looks like fun. That is either a slooow car or he let the cat catch it on purpose. And I'm only half as old as dirt.

In '64, I was fully sponsored by mighty Mura Motors race around the SF Bay Area. In a short time, my teammate and I were blackballed from many tracks...for winning too much.

The Bay Area was a mecca for slot cars in '64 and '65 with over 100 listed tracks...and I got to most of them. They even set up a track at the International Car Show one time to allow us to race for an MGB-GT.

Them were the days...
