So, there was a divorce between Orion/Peak and TeamLosi/Horizon!

There is no divorce. Team Orion and Peak continue to support, 100%, all its factory team drivers regardless of the car they drive.

Rick-You guys attending the drags at Infineon (sears point) again to do the little mini track that was setup.

I was talking to EJ there and saw you and I believe it was Joe P. near the drivers stand...

Congrats on your new venture.......Just gonna be different to see a Tamiya sticker on your car.....

Yeah, but since there are no more Orion/Peak drivers driving TL's cars (at least in on-road).......

Since there is no more.....

Its a coincidence, as some drivers just wanted to change. David has been long time loyal to Losi, Rick has been as well. But they have changed. So what? Like Josh went to Kyosho, Surikarn to HB, Easton to Losi, Burch from Fantom to Trinity, Pavidis from Reedy to Peak, etc etc...

If Ryan Cavalieri would change to Team Orion/Peak tomorrow, I am sure I would like him to continue using Team Losi on and off road cars!

Driver do not search always money, some want to change for a change, some change to feel more comfortable in a Team, some change as they think they can have better results with another car, and some change of work (losing a job or getting a new job). The real reason we will never find out, as its in a driver mind.

And I think its not so important that everybody knows what is the real reason, most important is that the driver feels comfortable with his move.

Bottom Line...I guess this is Tamiya's way of showing the "world" or at least the Western half of the world, that they are serious about racing...

Not too mention trying to kill to "toy car" mentality that most ignorant racers have of Tamiya

I'm glad...Good Luck Rick, I remember when you first started racing Guess that makes me old, huh??

Obviously smooth as butter is not the way to win races.

k_bojar,
I think with back-to-back on-road world titles, Tamiya has already crushed the "toy car" mentality.

Ya think that, huh??

But where I race, most of the guys still see Tamiya as a Grasshopper or a Frog....

The more they start showing at the top of the list, the most that mentality will die

That is not true. Our top U.S. carpet drivers, Andrew Gray, continues to race for Team Losi. But you are right, many have switched.

The word "divorce" is not positive so Iwanted to make sure veryone knows there is no animosity between anyone.

Joe an I won't be at the Sears Point NHRA race. The Radio Shack deal was great to do once, but in the end the rewards did not justify the time and expense. mI am not even sure Radio Shack will be there.

As far as set-ups go. I will be starting some testing next month. We will see what comes of it.

And anyone who remembers when I started must be very experienced (not old!).
