What are your suggestions |
Get the Hobbico 60watt model, best 8.99 I spent.... It's what goes to the track with me... If you want to spend a lot more, get a Hakko 936.... I leave my Hakko home...
|
I can't speak for the Hobbico one, but I LOVE my Hakko 936 and would highly recommend it.
|
Honestly, my 936 is just one more thing to get broken in transit, plus it isn't small...
He has less than 50 to spend... Buy 5 of the hobbico irons and be done.... He's not going to find anything else decent (new) for under 50.... |
My 936 goes with me to track.....

For a little more you can have one of these http://www.hobbyshopper.com/
or you can get one of these for about $35 if you want just an iron. http://www.bomir.com/online/index.php?sub=78 |
