I am glad Quark is making use of my Connector Design.

My initial design dates back to first documented email to Novak on Nov 1, 2005. Since then I posted the Idea on Tekin's web forum.

http://forum.teamtekin.com/phpbb3/vi...php?f=9&t=1766

I don't know how patent laws read, but if I was the original inventor of the idea I guess no one else could patent the idea since by law, they have to be the inventor and the idea was publicly disclosed.

Your missing my point, Simon Nicholson from Australia drives for Quark, finished 16th at the TC Worlds, but has not received a new speedie in proto or comleted sense, but now the veggies from Quark have already launched it for retail sale, how does that make sense?

HA, more like do nothing and loose nothing. Do something and be deeper in debt.

The patent process with the commercial grade prototypes would cost well over $10,000 to Design, Refine, Define by Lawyers, submit expensive applications to the USPTO then try to market the license to the design. From personal experience with friends, the patent process can cost sometimes into the six figure range for an idea. I figured it was best to let the racers have something cool and functional and posted the idea.

I do have a patent in progress to improve the differential used in our cars. I figured I could pay back my patent cost with that idea. So in about 2 years, some great things are coming!

Why would any company make a Sensorless only ESC. I have yet to see a Sensorless ESC that works well on start-up with 13.5 -21.5 motors which is the majority of the race community. Unless Quark wants to cater specifically to the Pro racer running Mod.

Tekin made this mistake when they released the R1\R1-PRO. Which they promptly replaced with the RS\RS-PRO.

Then I guess CS Electronics could come after you too.....lol. The CS Rocket line of ESC's in the late 90's had this very thing you are talking about. So its been out there for ohhh about 10 years now. Nothing new or earth shattering.....I just dont know why more companies dont use this system???
