Not since Powers took their Take Off Page down. I am sure ARK is working on a new website. Schumacher is setting up a Take Off page soon for US racers to get info about the tires. That is also a few weeks away.

Adrian.

Just read your Take Off - RP - Powers saga. Looks like the version I was given was pretty right then.

I'm also glad to see that your findings and mine on the performance of Sorex, Take off and RP are very similar. I haven't tried the Powers tyre yet but have some on the way from Powers as I am their local distributor.

If they are as good as you and others who I have spoken to who have also tried them say they are, then we should be onto a winner.

Thanks for your help.

Check your PMs.

Owens - The CS27 is almost always better then the CS32. The CS32 is used where you have too much grip and need to free up the car (rare situation).

John Bull - After years of no new tires we now have one consistantly excellent tire ,the CS, and two all new and very promising tires, PJ and RP.

Yes, you're quite right. The Take Off has been absolutely excellent all round.

As stated earlier, we've tried the RP tyres. In fact I was at the track with son Josh just this afternoon and he had another go at them but the car is always so much better with CS22.

I'm now really looking forward to trying out the Powers PJ22. There should be some on the way for us so it shouldn't be long. Our findings and yours have been pretty consistant, so I'm expecting even more improvement with the PJ tyre. That would be nice !

Thanks for your very helpful mail, and please pass on our regards to Paul W. We hope to meet him again at the TC Worlds in Italy next year.

We have only tested the RP30, 36 and 40. All have been very good...faster than CS.

The PJ's were tested when it was too cool to get a good measure but our fasted lap of our test course was done with PJ30 tires with a Yokomo Std Med insert on Echo MDX rims.

Is it the Yokomo 037M or the 039M(thin) you mentioned?

It was the 037M. Tire wear wasn't as good with this insert, but lap times where very good.

The tires that will be avialble first are the PJ-22's. Unfortunalty it will be too warn to use them very soon. We ask Powers to wait on sending them to us until the PJ-27's are ready in early April.

I just bought a set of the RP 30GL's and plan on running them this weekend on a high bite asphalt track. Can't wait to see how they do.

Default CS 27-22

Just wandering what most guys run on stock carpet racing, cs 27 in front and cs22 in rear or cs 22's all the way around? Someone in a above post said 27's are not enough traction. just wondering. thanks-
